| DESCRIPTION: Located on the southern point of Motu Piti Aau, a six mile long islet along the coral reef is the distinctive Le Meridien. Accessible only by boat and offering unsurpassed views to Mount Otemanu the hotel blends French chic with Tahitian design. The resort is 20 minutes by private launch from the airport and 5 minutes by boat from the main island. The shuttle boat to the main island is free to hotel guests and runs throughout the day each hour. Unique is the private interior lagoon and turtle sanctuary with more than 100 different species of fish, coral and shells. GUEST ROOMS: The décor of the bungalows are in perfect harmony with the tropical elegance of the site. Each air-conditioned bungalow has a large bedroom featuring king-size or twin beds, a bathroom with a lagoon view, double basins, deep soaking tub, separate shower and toilet. Also featured is a daybed/lounge with coffee table, writing desk, mini-bar, coffee/tea maker, cable television, DVD player, ceiling fan, direct dial phone, internet access, private safe, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, and walk-in closet. Beach Bungalow (17) Each face directly on to the beach. Step off the private deck onto the white sand. You are only steps away from waters edge. Overwater Bungalow (66) Lined along either side of two main piers suspended over the lagoon each bungalow features a large windowed surface in the living room floor allowing you to peek at the underwater world. The deck is an ideal place to sunbathe, view the lagoon, read or take in the sunset. Ladders from the deck make it easy for direct access into the lagoon. Premium Overwater Bungalow (16) Located more towards the end of the piers offering more privacy and oriented to the best views. Same size and layout as "Overwater Bungalow".
