The small coconut fringed motu of Avearahi is an hours boat ride
from Kia Ora Village. Here you will find 5 enchanting thatch roofed bungalows,
hand crafted from native timbers, simply appointed and with private facilities.
In a hammock under the palms on a sandy beach, you can turn that Robinson
Crusoe dream into reality. There are no telephones or electricity, and
lanterns are brought to you each evening. The remoteness is not for everyone
but for the adventurer who is looking for a complete escape from civilization...this
is the get-a-way. A charming staff provides the resort's services. Simple,
healthful meals emphasize fresh seafood. The resort requires that guests
stay a minimum of two nights. Due to flight schedules into and out of
Rangiroa, it is frequently necessary that you allow at least one night
at Kia Ora Village before and after your visit. All meals are included.

plantation, the Maitai Rangiroa offers 22 garden rooms,

satellite TV, direct-dial phone, mini-refrigerator and tea/coffee makers.

This charming resort is the only one on the atoll of Manihi. There
are 22 beachfront bungalows and 19 overwater bungalows all with ceiling
fans, mini bar, telephone, hair dryer, coffee/tea maker, in-room safe
and sundeck. The overwater bungalows have a glass coffee table for viewing
and feeding the fish. The restaurant is lagoon front and the bar overlooks
a natural freshwater swimming pool. Optional activities include bicycling,
deep-sea fishing, visits to the village of Turipaoa, excursions to explore
the reef and lagoon, full day picnic excursions and visits to the pearl
farms. Excellent scuba diving for novice and expert alike is available
